Elizabeth Hanke

Senior Managing Director

For nearly 25 years, Elizabeth Hanke has been a trusted advisor in both the settlement and litigation arenas, and KCIC clients can always expect her to work passionately on their behalf.

Elizabeth’s specialty is analyzing, interpreting, and quantifying insurance policies on cost-recovery projects involving asbestos, environmental, and non-asbestos products liability. She does that by coding policies into a database for better evaluation and understanding, then modeling results in real time. A believer in the transformative power of technology, Elizabeth also customizes existing code to solve new and unique problems, particularly those involving very complex data. “I have a strong desire to continually improve processes,” she says.

That deep experience puts Elizabeth in demand for expert testimony on modeling the valuation of insurance recovery, and she frequently represents KCIC at conferences and other events.

Having begun her career in-house at large coverage law firms, she finds that partnering with attorneys as a member of their team is critical. “We accomplish more when we are a true partner,” she says. “That KCIC value that is very important to me.”

Another value she holds high: being engaged outside of work with her family and community. Elizabeth has volunteered with Girl Scouts for almost 10 years, teaching girls to be leaders, as well as streamlining the troop’s registration process. She also has lent her expertise to her church, setting up an online platform to track membership, process donations online, and more.
